Hans Jørgen is a gymnast. He has always been a gymnast. He has build a lot of his identity on being an essential figure in the development of danish gymnastics through many years. A fact that only makes it more difficult for him to accept the fast aggravation of his physical health.

Hans Jørgen and Birthe Bækgaard hans been married through 43 years. Their marriage and love for each other is still strong, but over the last 9 years it has changed a lot.

Hans Jørgen has always been a powerful and proud man. The pride has not disappeared, while the power is minimizing day by day.

The couple lives on a big farm and have a second house too. Nearly all the daily duties are know being done by Birthe, that is having a hard time keeping up with the job while also seeing her husband degrading day by day.
